Job Summary

We are seeking a Contract Recruiter to manage the full hiring lifecycle for hourly roles supporting our manufacturing plants. This position is responsible for sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and facilitating the onboarding process for positions such as production specialists, utility workers, operators, maintenance/millwrights, and electrical & instrumentation technicians. The role is based in our North American headquarters in Decatur, IL, with a hybrid work schedule involving regular in-office days.

Key Responsibilities

1. Own the end-to-end recruiting process for assigned plant locations.
2. Review applications and conduct phone screens to identify qualified candidates.
3. Coordinate and schedule onsite interviews with hiring managers.
4. Extend job offers, manage candidate rejections, and ensure a seamless candidate experience.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with plant HR partners and hiring managers.
6. Track openings, candidates in process, and sourcing tactics using spreadsheets and ATS tools.
7. Provide regular status updates and develop creative solutions to overcome staffing challenges.
8. Serve as the primary recruiting resource for assigned locations, taking full ownership of staffing needs.

Required Qualifications

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, preferably in hourly/manufacturing environments.
2. Strong communication skills with proven follow-through and accountability.
3. Highly organized and proactive, with a “find a way” attitude.
4. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
5. Comfortable building relationships and gaining trust with plant teams.
6. Experience with applicant tracking systems, preferably Kenexa/BrassRing.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Prior experience recruiting in manufacturing or similar industrial sectors.
2. Familiarity with labor market trends relevant to hourly positions.
