The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a CRE Credit Analyst role in the Niles, IL market. The successful candidate will determine the creditworthiness of existing or prospective bank clients and analyze financial data to assess the likelihood of a borrower honoring their financial obligations.

The position includes a generous salary of up to $75k along with an excellent benefits package. (This is not a remote position.)

CRE Credit Analyst responsibilities include:

• Analyzing and interpreting financial statements (internal, compiled, reviewed & audited statements as well as spreading tax returns).
• Complete ratio, trend, and cash flows analysis and create projections.
• Deliver a multidimensional perspective on the investment outlook in an accessible and informative manner.
• Underwriting the credits and completing Loan Approval Forms.
• Monitoring corporate portfolio asset quality on an ongoing basis
• Identifying Loan Policy Exceptions.
• Monitoring collateral advances.
• Adhere to credit policy and guidelines.
• Drafting models of credit information that predict trends and patterns.
• Assisting the Manager with complicated and more involved customers and credit requests.
• Conducting research on specific industries and regions in which customer conducts business.
• Preparing transactions for approval, both written and verbally.
• Maintaining credit records and performing periodic reviews of current customers.
• Analyzing field audit reports on asset-based lines.
• Managing coordination of documents with outside counsel as appropriate.
• All other reasonable duties as assigned.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics.
• Three or more years’ commercial real estate credit/lending experience is required.
• Accounting/finance and commercial real estate credit analysis background strongly preferred.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand, analyze and interpret financial statements, reports, and legal documents.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; must be able to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
