Transportation Engineer
We are seeking a motivated Transportation Engineer to join our growing team in Chicago. In this role, you will work on a variety of transportation and site engineering projects, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions that improve mobility and safety for communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design transportation infrastructure including highways, roadways, and drainage systems.
- Support project advancement by helping set priorities and develop project objectives.
- Prepare project permits and technical reports for regulatory agencies.
- Serve as a technical resource for multidisciplinary project teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to professional development within the team.
- Ensure designs meet applicable engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering .
- 5+ years of transportation or highway design experience .
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois .
- Knowledge of IDOT, CDOT, municipal, and Illinois Tollway design standards .
- Proficiency with MicroStation and OpenRoads ; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
