This role will require the selected candidate to connect different hardware, software, and networking, into a single, cohesive, and functional, optimized, and secure system. Our Software Integrators act as consultants, designers, and builders, analyzing internal and customer needs to integrate disparate subsystems for better performance and efficiency.\n\nA solid grasp of systems integration lifecycle and best practices is critical, including testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD). The Software Integrator will work within an Agile team supporting multiple software and hardware products/baselines, prioritizing enhancements, and managing tasks efficiently to ensure smooth delivery of an integrated baseline/system. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of system level software and hardware architecture, how software and hardware components interact within complex systems, and how to translate customer needs into actionable development tasks.\n\nAbout our organization: As an engineer, you\u0027ll be joining our growing Aurora Software department which has 200+ Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Systems Administrator, Database Administrator, and Network Engineer peers from entry-level to the most senior chief engineers and architects. Staff Software Engineers frequently get into informal (example: Subject Matter Expert) and formal technical leadership roles within their programs, as applicable and per interest. We have plenty of opportunities for career advancement into higher level technical roles or leadership positions. Our Software Department is part of a larger organization that includes Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test staff as well as a Hardware Engineering unit. This larger organization influences cross-program collaboration, professional development and training, as well as engagement and inclusion activities such as lunch-n-learns, campus events, and leadership mixers.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Engineer Level 2: Bachelor\u0027s degree in a STEM discipline with 2+ years of relative experience; master\u2019s degree in a STEM discipline with 0+ years of relative experience; An additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree.\n\n * Principal Engineer Level 3: Bachelor\u0027s degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of relative experience; master\u2019s degree in a STEM discipline with 3+ years of relative experience; An additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree.\n\n * Active Top Secret security clearance/SCI eligibility required at time of application \n\n * Experience debugging and solving problems when things do not work out of the box\n\n * Experience working in a cross-functional agile team\n\n * Familiarly working in a Linux environment\n\n * Having a basic understanding of java\n\n * Experience building and maintaining configuration management documentation\n\n * Experience in hardware/software integration\n\n * Experience in hardware command protocols (SNMP, GEMS, as examples)\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
