We are seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Technician III who takes pride in hands-on work, problem-solving, and maintaining essential hospital systems that support patient care every day.

Position Overview

The Facility Maintenance Technician III is responsible for maintaining all hospital equipment, systems, and grounds in safe, efficient, and operational condition. This role ensures the facility remains clean, functional, and compliant through timely repairs, preventive maintenance, and system monitoring.

This position requires strong technical expertise across HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems in a healthcare environment.

What You'll Do

• Maintain hospital equipment, systems, and grounds in safe working condition
• Perform preventative maintenance and ensure all scheduled PMs are completed monthly
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace HVAC, electrical, and plumbing components
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and ladder diagrams
• Maintain boilers, compressors, pumps, cooling towers, and related systems
• Complete and document all work orders using the TMS system
• Respond to unplanned maintenance issues and urgent repair needs
• Support minor construction and facility improvement projects
• Order and retrieve supplies needed for repairs and maintenance tasks
• Ensure accurate documentation of all maintenance and asset records
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and hospital regulations

Core Technical Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge in HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing systems , including:

HVAC Systems

• Installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC components (compressors, condensers, evaporators)
• Steam systems, pumps, chemical treatment systems, and cooling towers
• Ability to read ladder diagrams and technical schematics

Electrical Systems

• AC/DC electrical theory and troubleshooting
• Power distribution systems (transformers, breakers, load centers, MCCs)
• Lighting and building electrical systems
• Interpretation of electrical diagrams and schematics

Plumbing Systems

• Pipe fitting, tubing, and system assembly
• Soldering, brazing, welding, cementing, and caulking techniques
• Maintenance and repair of facility plumbing systems

• Schedule: Nights | 8-hour shifts | 40 hrs/week
  Every other weekend + on-call rotation

Education & Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical school training in a related trade OR
• Equivalent certification with 6+ years of trade experience OR
• Military technical training equivalent

Required: Valid driver's license

Experience

• Journeyman-level knowledge of general maintenance trades required
• Master-level expertise in at least one trade (HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing)
• Experience in a hospital or regulated facility environment preferred
