Designer

Responsibilities

• Use AutoCAD equipment and software to develop designs.

• Create and revise production drawings.

• Make final sketches of proposed drawings, checking dimensions, materials, and relationships between parts.

• Utilize knowledge of machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and physical sciences to complete drawings.

• Draft detailed multi-view drawings of products.

• Draw finished designs from sketches.

• Update Drafting and Engineering Standards.

• Set up and maintain an organized file system for production drawings.

• Convert existing production drawings to AutoCAD.

• Communicate with tooling, QA, engineering, and manufacturing regarding new and revised prints.

• Gain working knowledge of the product by learning the manufacturing process.

Essential Skills

• Associate's Degree in a related field.

• Experience with AutoCAD.

• Drafting/Design experience.

• 3D experience

• Sheet metal experience.

• Experience with Inventor software.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wood Dale, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
