Accounts Payable Clerk
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Red Bud, IL. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing our financial transactions and ensuring that all accounts payable processes run smoothly. Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Manage and maintain vendor accounts and relationships.
- Prepare and process payment runs in a timely manner.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting.
- Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
You should be proficient in:
- Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Cost Accounting
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)

- ERP Software (Oracle)
- Accounting Software (Quickbooks, SAP, NetSuite, Xero)
