Engineer- Field Operations

PGL, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Engineer- Field Operations in our Chicago, Illinois North Shop (Zip Code: 60646), Central Shop (Zip Code: 60632) and South Shop (Zip Code: 60621) locations. Job Summary District Operations is responsible for field related aspects of the distribution of natural gas to PGL customers. This includes Operations, Maintenance, and Construction activities. As a Engineer, you will learn to:
- Work with a variety of analytical software to provide solutions to improve efficiency of natural gas transmission and distribution systems
- Monitor progress against compliance due date and year-end targets
- Understand the operation of gas facilities to properly supply natural gas to customers
- Develop knowledge of the installation process of new facilities and the retirement of existing ones as a part of new pipeline construction program
- Ensure we are delivering a quality service to our customers
- Work with various stakeholders and provide input on technical engineering aspects of projects
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (May 2026 Graduates will be considered)
- The Associate Engineer requires: 0-2 years relevant engineering experience
- The Engineer requires: 2-5 years relevant engineering experience
- The Sr Engineer requires: 5+ years relevant engineering experience
- Must meet company standards for driving and maintain a valid driver's licensePreferred Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Project/process management experience
