Staffing/Scheduling Coordinator

The SCS is responsible for scheduling Nursing Division employees to specific work shifts according to staffing matrix and patient acuity level needs, cyclical work schedule patterns, scheduled and unscheduled employee absences, staff vacancies, etc.
The SCS is responsible for contacting employees to work extra shifts if indicated to help fill vacancies. The SCS assists with scheduling vacation and holiday coverage. The SCS is responsible to provide staffing information to the Nursing Division Directors and keep them informed of the daily census and needs. The SCS maintains and approves computerized time cards for Nursing Division Directors/Clinical Nurse Coordinators.
The SCS assists the department with various educational offerings by scheduling and registering participants. The SCS assists in providing secretarial or clerical services to the Nursing Division Directors/Clinical Nurse Coordinators. This position reports to the V.P. of Nursing and Risk Management/CNE.
Position Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Associate degree in secretarial science or related field preferred.
At least 3 years of secretarial or clerical experience preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience with payroll and/or scheduling software preferred.
