Neuro RN Job Details – Peoria, IL

• Location: Peoria, Illinois 61636
• Healthcare Setting: Neuro Unit (8C Neuro)
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• End Date: December 13, 2025
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7pm-7am), 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2090-$2140

Neuro Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing
• Minimum 3 years of recent nursing experience; neuro nursing experience strongly preferred
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required

Neuro RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive neuro nursing care to assigned patients during each shift
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Implement neuro-specific nursing interventions and procedures
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical documentation
• Continuously evaluate and update patient care plans as needed
• Promote patient and staff safety by identifying and addressing potential hazards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Support professional development of peers through constructive feedback
• Identify personal learning needs and pursue ongoing education in neuro nursing
• Meet all departmental competencies and clinical standards
