Lead Cook
Deane’s Market & Deli is an award winning sandwich, soup and salad restaurant located in historic downtown Geneva, IL. We are looking for a Chef-Kitchen Manager. If you are someone that enjoys cooking but does not want the fast pace and long, late hours of a traditional sit-down restaurant, we want to talk to you. This position comes with the opportunity to potentially assume ownership in 3-5 years.
Hours: Flexible (full or part-time) weekends required – no evenings
Job Qualifications: Completion of 100 level cooking classes, Food Safety Manager Certification
Job Duties: Responsible for food production for a scratch kitchen restaurant. Includes preparing soups, roasting & smoking meats, salad dressings, sauces, condiments, baking. Supervising 2-3 kitchen staff, food ordering, food safety, managing food cost and waste.
