Job Summary:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for direct oversight of the company’s proposals and graphics staff and all proposal efforts. Activities may include evaluating and reviewing RFPs and proposals, facilitating Go/No Go discussions, and providing guidance to proposal managers and junior staff on best practices for RFP response. Conduct regular staff performance reviews, manage promotional event planning, sourcing, acquiring promotional items and workwear, and coordination of print collateral for firm marketing efforts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage marketing and graphics teams to support all marketing initiatives
  • Provide marketing and graphics team support to business development team, as required
  • Support the business development team, which could include market research, competitor analyses, customer service and retention monitoring processes and initiatives
  • Manage annual marketing program, including event attendance and corporate sponsorships, in support of organizational strategy and objectives
  • Support proposal management team to provide adequate coverage for all targeted clients and pursuits, up to and including the development of full proposals
  • Manage marketing communications, including the development, distribution, and oversight of all company marketing collateral
  • This position may require periodic travel to RailPros headquarters, field offices, client offices, work sites and other project related locations

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
  • Ability to think ahead and plan over a one to two year time span
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level
  • Technical skills in strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, and market research and planning
  • Must work effectively with senior level executives and staff; must also be able to work independently
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite highly desired
  • Must have strong customer support orientation (for internal/external customers), demonstrated professional demeanor, and the ability to maintain confidential information
  • Proficiency with electronic communications including email and text as well as standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline required
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience and a demonstrated track record of accomplishments

Additional Preferred Qualifications, Certifications, etc.:

  • CPSM designation may be desired or attained during employment
