Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. In this role, you will inspect parts and products to ensure quality and safety standards are met, maintain accurate inspection documentation, and support continuous process improvement in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of inspection tools, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to product excellence.
Primary Responsibilities
• Perform part and product inspections according to established quality and safety standards.
• Ensure test and measurement equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly.
• Develop, maintain, and update inspection reports and documentation.
• Communicate inspection results with certified personnel and cross-functional teams.
• Conduct testing of new parts and accurately report findings to engineering and management.
• Maintain measurement tools and workspace in a clean, organized 5S environment.
• Reject non-conforming products and prevent unsatisfactory items from reaching customers.
• Inspect items for durability, function, and quality attributes.
Required Qualifications
• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: 1-3 years of inspection and/or production experience.
• Solid understanding of test and measurement equipment.
• Strong working knowledge of basic mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
