Program Manager
Our client is seeking a Program Manager to guide a cross-functional project team and support design transfer initiatives. The ideal candidate is a motivated leader who excels at building collaboration, effectively influencing others, and driving success through cross-functional teamwork. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to anticipate risks and opportunities, and the agility to stay composed under pressure while guiding teams to success.
Responsibilities
- Provide business and technical leadership for one or more projects within the Infusion Therapies and Technologies portfolio.
- Lead teams in defining project strategies, setting goals, and ensuring project scope is defined, controlled, and aligned with Stage-Gate processes.
- Serve as program manager for core teams, managing all project deliverables across the full lifecycle (discovery, requirements definition, development, launch, and sustaining).
- Design and facilitate structured planning workshops to align cross-functional teams and establish clear scope, timelines, risks, and responsibilities.
- Develop detailed, integrated project plans including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), RACI charts, risk registers, dependency maps, and governance structures.
- Establish consistency and rigor in project planning across infusion system programs, including tubing material conversions, pump platform upgrades, and other NPD initiatives.
- Ensure identification, communication, and mitigation of project risks through proactive risk management strategies.
- Anticipate potential conflicts, propose solutions, and foster collaboration for mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts across programs while coaching and strengthening PM capability in planning and design transfer readiness.
- Communicate effectively with all management levels, ensuring transparency of project status, issues, and progress.
- Support the successful launch of new products by collaborating with other program managers and functional leaders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or Biotech fields preferred; advanced degree a plus.
- 8+ years of combined experience (or 5+ with a Master’s), including at least 6 years in project/program management.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional, global teams within the medical field (pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or combination products).
- Experience managing the full project lifecycle, from early development through design transfer and commercialization.
- Knowledge of regulatory pathways for drugs, biologics, or combination devices.
- Strong business acumen with demonstrated analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities across multiple stakeholder levels.
- Track record of being a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments, and who is comfortable challenging the norm when needed.
- Understanding of GMP, GLP, and product development process requirements.
- Ability to collaborate across distributed teams, translating project requests into structured deliverables.
