Line Cook

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Position Summary:

The Line Cook / Prep Cook is responsible for daily food preparation and execution of menu items in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role supports the culinary team in maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, cleanliness, and food safety across all service periods. Line Cook/Prep Cook Job Responsibilities:

• Daily food preparation, storage and restocking
• Cook food items according to cooking methods: sauté, grill, broil, poach, fry etc.
• Practice food sanitation and safety
• Clean and sanitize area as needed

Line Cook/Prep Cook Qualifications/Skills:

• Two to three years’ experience as a Club cook or restaurant cook preferred but not necessary.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational skills
• Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
• Ability to work as a team member in a high paced environment
• Follow directions and instructions set by the chef or sous chef

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• One to two years of experience as a Club line cook or restaurant cook

Schedule:

• AM/PM Shift
• 5 days/week
• 40hrs/week plus more on busy weeks or holidays
• Weekends and holidays

Job Duties:

• Prepare all foods practicing sanitation and safety guidelines and food production codes
• Follow recipes
• Operate standard kitchen equipment
• Cleanliness and organization skills
• Be able to lift at least 50lbs
