Machine Operator (Maywood)
Machine Operator
Location: Broadview, ILShift: 6:00 AM – 4:20 PM Monday – Thursday
Pay: $18 – 20 (dependent on experience) JOB DUTIES:
- Operation and setting up of one of the following machines: Filler, Gasser, and/or Capper Machines
- Clean and maintain machine before, during and after production.
- Calibrate the scale used for weighing cans before production begins.
- Check and record concentrate and/or solvent weight every 15 minutes and spot check in between.
- Observe line for nonconformances
- Participate in machine changeovers
- Maintain accurate and legible downtime reports and weight sheets.
- Submit reports after each production job and end of day
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1-3 years of machine operation experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Hand tool knowledge (specifically caliper and scale)
- Capable of lifting and carrying 25 lbs. for 10 feet.
- Capable of standing during the entire shift
- Must be okay working in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must possess math skills and be capable of using a calculator to perform calculations needed to complete daily reports.
