Contracts Manager

Coeur Mining, Inc. is a well-diversified growing precious metals producer with five operations in North America. Coeur's wholly owned operations include the Palmarejo gold-silver complex in Mexico, the Rochester silver-gold mine in Nevada, the Kensington gold mine in Alaska, the Wharf gold mine in South Dakota and the Silvertip silver-zinc-lead mine in British Columbia. In addition, the Company has interests in several precious metals exploration projects throughout North America. Coeur's headquarters are located in Chicago, IL.
Coeur Mining is seeking a Contracts Manager. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for procurement and contracting activities to support the Company's operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop contracting plans and strategies based on Company requirements.
- Ensure effective procurement of services and goods by working with site teams to define requirements, develop scopes, and administering RFx and other sourcing activities.
- Draft, conform, negotiate, and support execution of contracts to formalize supply agreements, partnering with the legal department.
- Manage contract administrative matters relating to compliance, claims, disputes, invoicing/payments, correspondence, progress/review meetings, insurance, liability, indemnities, bonds, and retentions.
- Develop and maintain standard contract, RFx, and associated documents and templates to facilitate the procurement process.
- Complete audits of contracts to identify gaps in contract management or supplier performance.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives in contract management and procurement.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned, according to the changing needs of the business.
Qualifications/Job Requirements :
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
- 5-years procurement experience or contract management experience in industrial or mining space, with experience drafting contracts.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written required.
- High level proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (MSWord, Excel and Teams).
- Working knowledge of ERP systems. Oracle experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment required.
- 10-15% travel.
