Electrical Systems Engineer
Position Summary
The Electrical Engineer supports the design, development, testing, and implementation of electrical systems and equipment. The role involves preparing engineering designs, coordinating technical plans, and ensuring systems meet safety, regulatory, and industry standards. The position may include both office-based engineering work and field support activities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems in accordance with client requirements and industry standards.
- Prepare and review electrical design documents, specifications, drawings, and technical reports.
- Support the design and analysis of power distribution systems, control systems, electrical panels, and related infrastructure.
- Perform inspections, testing, and evaluation of electrical equipment, systems, and materials.
- Assist with installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components.
- Support project teams during system commissioning, validation, and performance testing activities.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation, drawings, calculations, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety procedures, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on proposals, project planning, and ongoing engineering activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Approximately 0–2 years of relevant experience in electrical system design, installation, construction, testing, or maintenance.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, power systems, control systems, and applicable industry standards.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and engineering documents.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and engineering software applications.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Working Conditions
- Combination of office-based engineering work and fieldwork.
- Field activities may involve outdoor environments and exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Physical activities may include walking, climbing, standing for extended periods, and conducting site inspections.
- Potential exposure to industrial, manufacturing, construction, or utility environments.
- Occasional travel may be required based on project needs.
