Systems Administrator

Akkodis is seeking a Systems Administrator for a Contract position with a client in Warrenville, IL . The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing software releases, performing system upgrades, evaluating and applying patches, and resolving software‑related issues in a regulated nuclear environment. This role also supports system backups, recovery operations, and overall data integrity monitoring.

Rate Range: $48/hour to $50/hour on W2; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Systems Administrator job responsibilities include:

• Install new software releases and perform system upgrades.

• Evaluate, test, and install system patches; troubleshoot and resolve software issues.

• Perform system backups and recovery to ensure business continuity.

• Maintain data files and monitor system configurations to ensure data integrity.

• Support testing and documentation of SIEM hardware , network infrastructure, and software within a regulated nuclear environment.

• Utilize virtualization platforms and Windows Server technologies to support system operations.

• Perform a variety of system administration tasks under general supervision.

• Rely on sound judgment and creativity to plan and accomplish goals.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

• 3–5 years of experience in system administration or a related technical field.

• Familiarity with standard system administration concepts, practices, and procedures.

• Experience with virtualization technologies and Windows Server environments .

• Ability to work under general supervision and report to a project leader or manager.

• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing technical needs.

• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Pay Details: $48.00 to $50.00 per hour
