Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Investment Operations, will oversee day-to-day operations of the Company’s growing investment portfolio, including, managing interactions with the Company’s third-party asset manager, multiple custodians, trustees, and third party cedents, and the investment accounting team. This individual’s primary responsibility will be ensuring investment operations produce accurate and timely information to support reporting to various internal and external stakeholders. The individual will also manage investment portfolio compliance and investment operational risk management while leading initiatives to strengthen investment data governance and support the Company growth strategy.

This role requires an understanding of insurance company investment strategies, detailed knowledge of investment operations, including transaction processing and internal controls, and effective communication skills.

Key Accountabilities

· Investment Operations Oversight - Manage daily investment operations processes, ensuring timely and accurate trade settlement, cash movements across all portfolio accounts and asset classes, and position reconciliations.

· Reconciliations and Controls – Oversee reconciliations at both the portfolio and asset position level, coordinating with custodians, asset managers, and investment accounting teams to resolve breaks and discrepancies. Ensure reconciliations support timely and accurate statutory accounting and reporting requirements.

· Investment Compliance Monitoring – Partner with internal compliance and risk teams to ensure adherence to investment guidelines, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

· Custodian and Manager Relationship Management – Act as liaison with the external asset manager, custodians, and trustees, maintaining service standards, resolving operational issues, and driving efficiency improvements.

· Support for Growth Strategy and Reinsurance Onboarding – Partner Investments, Finance, and Corporate Development to operationalize new reinsurance agreements, ensuring timely onboarding of new portfolios, investment accounts, and related reporting processes.

· Reporting and Transparency – Deliver accurate , timely, and insightful operational reporting to internal stakeholders including Investments, Accounting, Risk, and senior management.

· Investment Data Governance – Lead the development and implementation of updated investment data governance practices, including data quality monitoring, standardized definitions, and ownership frameworks.

· Process and Technology Enhancement – Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements to improve operational efficiency, reduce risk, and strengthen the investment control environment.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s or CPA/CFA/CAIA preferred).

·7–10+ years of experience in investment operations, accounting, or related functions, ideally within insurance, asset management, or custodian/trustee organizations.

· Strong understanding of common insurance company asset classes (fixed income, private assets, alternatives, derivatives).

· Demonstrated experience with investment compliance, reconciliations, and internal controls.

· Effective communication and relationship management skills across internal and external stakeholders.

· Technical aptitude with investment systems (Clearwater experience a plus), data management, and reporting tools.
