Industrial Maintenance Technician
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment, including blanking presses, automation lines, and auxiliary systems to minimize downtime.
- Program, maintain, and troubleshoot PLCs (primarily Allen-Bradley and Siemens) to ensure smooth operation of automated systems.
- Diagnose and repair variable frequency drives (VFDs), servo drives, and motor control systems.
- Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Collaborate with production and management teams to support equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to facilitate repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts usage.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
- Hands-on experience with PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and drive technologies (VFDs, servos, etc.).
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and equipment schematics.
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or off-shifts as needed.
- Preferred: Experience with metal stamping or blanking operations.
- Preferred: Experience using CMMS.
