If yes, then bring your talent and skills to F.E. Moran Group of Companies! We have an exciting opportunity in the Chicagoland area for an experienced Project Accountant. As a Project Accountant, you will utilize previous accounting expertise to complete Accounts Receivable and Payable functions for assigned projects.
You Are:
- EDUCATED & EXPERIENCED: High School Diploma with previous accounting experience required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with previous Project Accounting experience preferred
- KNOWLEDGEABLE: Advanced software and MS Office experience, specifically advanced Excel skills, including extraction of data, analysis, and report generations; knowledge of Penta/OnBase/Citrix software preferred
- ANALYTICAL: Demonstrated ability to think critically, analyze, and problem solve to drive results
- ORGANIZED: Able to prioritize and follow up to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- A COMMUNICATOR: Effectively communicate verbally and written to varied levels of audiences
What you’ll do:
- ACCOUNTING FUNCTIONS: Complete accounts receivable & payable functions including managing invoices, billings, vendor lien waivers, collecting payments from customers, and making payments according to contract terms
- PROJECT SUPPORT: Set up projects as they are awarded; manage contracts and change orders; close out projects after completion
- PROCESS: Extract data and analyze reports from Penta software
- COLLABORATE: Interact with multiple companies’ team members, including leadership and project managers
