Job Description

The Wiz Kids Foundation is seeking an enthusiastic professional to help coordinate Golf related activities during the summer camp session.

Position Responsibilities

• The Golf Jr. Associate is responsible for assisting the Golf Coach teach fundamental skills as well as more advanced strategy.
• While assisting the Golf Director, Coaches/Associates chaperone, supervise and guide campers through the day‐to-day activities of the overall camp experience.
• Develop and lead daily sport-specific drill and game components.
• Ensure the welfare of campers and positive resolution of camper related issues by communicating clearly and consistently with camp leadership staff
• Willingness to comply with Suspected Child Abuse Reporting (Subsection (a)(6) of 325 ILCS 5-4).
• Additional duties as contracted.

Work Environment

The outdoor Golf activities will take place daily at Calumet Country Club Golf Course (Homewood, IL) or one of our satellite locations.

Qualifications

• Prior Golf related coaching experience at the elementary or high school level.
• Coaching certification in the sport of golf or an advanced degree in Sports Administration is highly preferred.
• Must be High school grad, current undergrad student or post grad student

Compensation

• Homewood-Flossmoor High School: $15/hr - Filled
• Whitney Young High School: $17/hr
• Westmont High School: $16/hr- Closed
• Lakeview High School: $17/hr- Closed

Schedule

• Homewood-Flossmoor High School: Monday-Thursday from 8:30-2:30pm-Filled
• Whitney Young High School: Monday-Thursday from 9-2:25pm
• Westmont High School: Monday-Thursday from 8:30-12:30pm- Closed
• Lakeview High School: Monday-Thursday from 8:30-12pm- Closed

Pay: $17.00 - $17.01 per hour
