Associate Category Manager

GPN manufactures and markets the full range of performance nutrition and lifestyle products including protein, pre-workout, muscle gainers, ready-to-eat snacks and general health.

We have a new role due to growth for an Associate Category Manager. As the Associate Category Manager, you will play a key role in driving category leadership across our Food, Mass, and E-commerce channels. You’ll leverage shopper and category insights to support sales growth for both GPN’s brands and our retail partners. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on data-driven decision-making and enjoys collaborating cross-functionally to deliver impactful business results.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the sales team with the development and execution of AMPS (Assortment, Merchandising, Pricing, Shelving) strategies for key customers and channels.
• Assist in crafting and presenting insight-driven selling stories and category recommendations.
• Implement best-in-class shelving guidelines and planograms during line reviews and retailer engagements.
• Analyze category, segment, and product-level data—including pricing, formats, and competitive performance—to uncover growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with Trade Marketing and Sales to deliver actionable insights that inform Joint Business Planning (JBP) and long-term strategic initiatives.
• Partner with the Insights & Analytics team to mine shopper data and build compelling category narratives.
• Provide customer-specific insights that inform sales planning and identify mutual wins in distribution, shelving, merchandising, and pricing.
• Support ad-hoc category management requests and special projects across Sales and Marketing teams.
• Respond to internal and external requests for data analysis, modeling, and research.

The Skills you will bring to the team

• Bachelors/University degree and 3 years+ of experience in category management, sales analytics, or related CPG role in North America within the consumer packaged goods industry
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in syndicated data tools (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, SPINS, Scintilla).
• JDA space management (or other space planning) software experience is required
• Collaborative mindset with a passion for turning insights into action

Compensation for roles at Glanbia varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. Glanbia provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in IL. The annual salary for IL based employees for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 plus an annual bonus. This range may not be applicable to other locations. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role.
