Position Summary

The Deli Assistant plays an important role in supporting the deli department and ensuring customers receive exceptional service. This position involves assisting with product preparation, slicing meats and cheeses, maintaining displays, stocking, cleaning, and ensuring the deli area meets our high standards of quality, freshness, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service to customers.
• Assist with slicing meats, cheeses, and preparing deli trays.
• Maintain fully stocked and visually appealing displays.
• Follow proper food handling, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Help with labeling, rotating, and dating products accurately.
• Keep workstations, equipment, and displays clean and organized.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet department goals.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous deli, grocery, or food service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and follow company procedures.
• Must be able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
