Job Title: Bursar Clerk Department/ Office Bursar Department Location: Main Campus- Argyle Reports To: Bursar FSLA Non- Exempt Position Type: Bursar Clerk Job Purpose: The Bursar Clerk is responsible for performing administrative and clerical tasks for student accounts. This includes receiving and processing tuition payments, assisting with student account inquiries, and preparing registrations. Responsibilities: - Receives, verifies, and processes tuition payments and billings.
- Review student accounts.
- Prepare and process registration transactions and assist in student registration activities.
- Prepare student payment plans.
- Assists students with inquiries regarding their accounts.
- Answer incoming calls and assist walk-in students.
- Assist with data for preparing reports.
- Other administrative tasks but not limited to printing scanning, mailing, and filing.
Job Qualifications - Associate's Degree is required; supplemented by 2 years of cash handling and an accurate record of cash balancing; or an equivalent combination of training or experience.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish with the ability to speak, read and write.
- Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and techniques.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to prepare and maintain accounting records.
- Ability to write simple financial statements and reports.
- Good organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under strict deadlines and effectively multi-task.
- Ability to manage conflict with students, parents, and other customers.
- Ability to learn and utilize new computer systems.
