Local Class A CDL Driver
Elgin Recycling, a family-owned business with over 30 years of service in the Chicago-land area, is seeking experienced drivers to join our team. As a driver, you will play a crucial role in our operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of materials between our facilities and conducting industrial/commercial pickups throughout the area. Responsibilities
- Conduct industrial/commercial pickups of materials throughout the Chicago-land Area
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Transport materials between the Elgin Recycling Facilities
- May be asked to load and unload trailers on occasion with a pallet jack
- Hours vary depending on workload. This is a full time position and, while overtime is not guaranteed, we are looking for candidates who are willing to work longer days (8 to 12 hours)
Qualifications
- Class A Commercial Drivers License with no restrictions
- Real ID is not required at time of hire, but will need to obtain after hire
- 2 Years Experience operating tractor trailer.
- Clean Driving Record
- Roll-off and flatbed experience is a plus- willing to train if needed.
- Ability to adhere to all safety procedures and DOT/Company Policies
- Ability to lift 50lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending and stooping
- Ability to work and drive in all types of weather conditions
