Your key responsibilities
As a staff consultant in the Supply Chain practice at EY, you'll support essential project tasks, learn from experienced colleagues, and begin to build your expertise within your chosen domain. You will have the unique opportunity to be aligned with either the Supply Chain Business or Supply Chain Technology teams, allowing you to specialize in an area that aligns with your skills and interests. You'll contribute to the success of each project, ensuring goals are met in line with client needs and gaining the confidence of team members through your dedication and growing knowledge. This role provides an opportunity to tackle real-world challenges, connect with seasoned professionals and potential mentors, and participate in exciting projects. In Supply Chain, you will address complex issues and help protect our clients' operations. By assessing our clients' overarching strategy, we help redefine end-to-end supply chain and operations to support their enterprise objectives.
In this role you will:

Assist in implementing supply chain applications that enhance end-to-end processes, including planning, transportation, and e-commerce.

Support Manufacturing Technology initiatives to improve operational performance and reduce costs in digital factories.

Contribute to Energy Optimization Services, aiding organizations in their digitization journey and grid management.

Conduct demand forecasting and supply planning to improve inventory optimization and assess warehouse optimization plans.

Perform supplier risk assessments and support clients in increasing throughput and production efficiency.

The National Consulting practice serves clients across a variety of industries including, but not limited to: Consumer, Retail, Health, Life Sciences, Industrial Products, Mobility, Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, Private Equity, Media, Technology, and Telecommunications.

The Government and Public Sector (GPS) serves federal clients, as well as state and local agencies and higher education institutions. EY GPS Supply Chain Consulting helps government agencies reinvent end-to-end supply chains, business processes and business services outcomes to deliver cost savings with increased resilience across complex ecosystems of suppliers and customers.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have

An undergrad or master's degree with a strong foundation in supply chain management, supply chain engineering, industrial engineering, computer engineering, computer information systems, computer science, management information systems

A demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues and develop appropriate solutions under guidance.

U.S. citizenship is required for candidates applying to the Government & Public Sector practice, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance or higher within the specified timeframe, as determined by engagement requirements.

Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.

The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
Ideally, you will have

Aptitude, interest, and/or experience in Java, Javascript, .Net, Python, C, C++, PHP, web development, analytics focused tools and platforms such as SQL, R, Tableau, Power BI, business process design, or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, such as SAP or Oracle, or integration tools.

A purpose-driven and growth-oriented professional with a passion for learning, a collaborative mindset, and a proven ability to innovate, adapt, and leverage technology to drive meaningful change in dynamic business environments.

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong academic foundation in business and/or technology and demonstrated ability to evaluate complex issues and develop effective solutions.

Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $78,000 to $88,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.

Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.

Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
