Traveling Amusement Technician

We are seeking a Traveling Technician to support locations throughout the Greater Chicago area and Midwest. This role is 100% travel-based and focused on maintaining, repairing, testing, and supporting amusement equipment directly at client sites. If you have strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on technical experience, and enjoy working independently in the field, this is an opportunity to work with cutting-edge amusement technology while making a direct impact on customer operations and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to client locations throughout the Midwest to repair, test, maintain, and stock amusement equipment.
- Assist with installation and setup of new amusement equipment at locations nationwide.
- Manage assigned arcade sweep schedules to ensure equipment operates efficiently and reliably.
- Communicate regularly with client locations to coordinate service needs and provide remote troubleshooting support.
- Maintain parts inventory and assist with prize stock management at serviced locations.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to other technicians as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Strong background in electronics or electro-mechanical systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Basic networking knowledge.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Flexibility to travel extensively and adapt to changing work environments.
- Clean driving record.
- Availability to work weekends as needed.
- Travel requirement: 100%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the amusement, arcade, vending, or entertainment equipment industry.
- Prior field service or traveling technician experience.
