Hiring: Revenue Accountant (100% Remote) Are you an accounting professional who loves dissecting complex contracts, thrives on data-driven strategy, and lives in NetSuite? We are looking for an analytical, detail-oriented Revenue Accountant to join our growing finance team and partner closely with our VP Financial Controller. What You’ll Be Doing:

• The Big Picture: Manage accurate revenue recognition in strict compliance with ASC 606, acting as the primary owner of revenue-related accounts.
• Contract Expertise: Conduct deep-dive reviews of unique customer contracts to identify invoicing requirements and set precise recognition schedules.
• Strategic Modeling: Translate funding research into actionable financial models, perform break-even analyses, and drive accurate revenue forecasting.
• NetSuite Power-User: Leverage NetSuite to streamline the entire revenue recognition process and maintain the integrity of our financial data.
• Collaborate: Partner with Strategy, Marketing, and Business Development to align contract terms with billing, resolve discrepancies, and support month-end close activities.

What You Bring:

• Experience: 2–4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or FP&A.
• Technical Edge: Hands-on proficiency in NetSuite ERP and a deep working knowledge of ASC 606 and US GAAP.
• Analytical Rigor: A proven ability to perform financial modeling, forecasting, and contract analysis in any industry.
• Remote Mastery: You are a seasoned remote worker with the discipline to deliver high-quality work independently.
• The Communicator: Ability to explain complex financial ideas clearly to non-accounting stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep-dive reviews of unique customer contracts to assess specific invoicing requirements and establish revenue recognition schedules.
• Leverage NetSuite to streamline the revenue recognition process, ensuring accuracy
• Ensure full compliance with ASC 606 standards and internal accounting policies through rigorous documentation and oversight.
• Coordinate directly with customers and internal business teams to resolve contract discrepancies and manage billing issues.
• Translate preliminary funding research into actionable financial models, break-even analyses, and long-term forecasts.
• Collaborate with the Business Development team and the VP Financial Controller to prepare annual revenue budgets and monthly forecast updates.
• Partner with Strategy, Marketing, and Business Development teams to align unique contract data with billing terms and operational goals.
• Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations specifically related to revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable.
• Execute monthly close activities and provide comprehensive support for internal and external audits.
• Maintain and continuously improve revenue accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Communicate complex financial ideas and data clearly to non-accounting stakeholders via written channels.
