Position overview: We are seeking a Laboratory Technician reporting to our Lab Manager. This is a full-time position working out of the Palatine, IL laboratory. Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a lab environment.

Responsibilities :

· Conduct routine client sample analysis with and without the use of instrumentation.

· Test incoming batch samples, give routine batch adjustments.

· Prepare reagents and standards.

· Report analytical results.

· Clean glassware to appropriate analytical cleanliness standards.

· Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation, which includes troubleshooting, conducting preventive maintenance, performing calibrations.

· Safely handle potentially hazardous materials.

· Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.

· Monitor, order, and stock supplies as needed.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· Hands on experience in some analytical techniques such as titration, ICP, IC, AA and other wet chemical testing is required.

· Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry is strongly preferred.

· Attention to detail and good organizational skills.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

· Good team player.

· Ability to multi-task effectively.

· Works independently with minimal supervision.

· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.
