Senior Data Architect & Scientist – Unique AgTech Startup using IoT Data from Sensors, Cameras and other sources.

Help revolutionize farming through AI, ML, and advanced data infrastructure.

We’re seeking a versatile Data Architect or Scientist (two roles) to lead the design and deployment of scalable data systems and analytical models for an early-stage AgTech venture. You’ll work at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, IoT, and computer vision—driving smarter, more sustainable agricultural operations.

Desired Experience:

• Architect and build Azure-based Data Lakes and Databricks pipelines (Medallion Architecture) for sensor and multimedia data.
• Design and deploy ML models for anomaly detection, forecasting, and automation using time-series and vision data.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
• Integrate structured/unstructured datasets from IoT devices and vision systems.
• Lead vendor/tool selection and manage in-house data science projects.
• Communicate insights and architectural decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desired Technical Skills:

• 7+ years in data science or infrastructure, with hands-on experience in Azure Data Lakes and Databricks.
• Strong skills in Python, OpenCV, TensorFlow/PyTorch, SQL, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture, MLOps, and multimedia data processing.
• Experience with RAG frameworks (LangChain, Azure Cognitive Search, Pinecone/FAISS).
• Proven ability to design scalable, secure infrastructure and deploy models to edge/cloud environments.
• Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
