CONTROLS ENGINEER
Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Decatur, IL (Onsite M - F) - Relocation for the right candidate can be provided
We work with some of the most well-known aerospace companies in the US, as well as automtoive and manufacturing. We are a small but mighty team with a fantastic culture and employees tenure around 15-25 years!
We are seeking a very strong controls engineer who can work with our clients to create custom products. This involves strong experience with programming, motion, drives, designing control panels, schematics, installs, integration and being great customer facing and while working within their parameters.

Position OverviewThe Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for various automation projects. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of control systems into manufacturing processes, enhancing efficiency and reliability. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop control systems for automation projects.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs and communication protocols.
- Integrate various systems and components to ensure seamless operation.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers and other team members to achieve project goals.
- Utilize AutoCAD to create and modify control system schematics.
- Manage CAPEX projects from conception to implementation, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in PLC programming and system integration.
- Familiarity with various communication protocols and their applications.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for designing control systems.
- Experience in managing CAPEX projects effectively.
