Maintenance Mechanic | Facility & Equipment Maintenance (Support plant operations through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment and facility systems.)

Location: Lisle, IL

⏰ Shift: • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (OT on Saturdays as needed)

Pay: $28–$33/hr based on experience

Role Summary:

Randstad USA is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for a manufacturing facility in Lisle, IL. This direct hire role supports both production equipment and facility maintenance, including presses, mixers, motors, and building systems. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills and experience across mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.

️ Qualifications & Skills:

3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments

strong background in facility maintenance (plumbing, electrical, general building repair)

Experience working with 220V / 480V and motor controls

Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

Experience with presses, mixers, or similar production equipment preferred

Ability to read schematics, manuals, and work orders

Must have own tools

Reliable transportation required

Physical & Work Environment:

Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs

Work in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment

Standing, climbing, kneeling, and working around machinery required

PPE required at all times

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive pay: $28–$33/hr

Overtime available (including Saturdays)

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical (220V/480V), hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Repair and maintain presses, batch mixers, motors, pumps, and valves
• Support facility maintenance including plumbing, electrical, drywall, and general repairs
• Work on single and 3-phase motors
• Maintain maintenance records and support PM programs
• Assist with inventory and ordering of parts and supplies
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors when needed
• Perform basic fabrication, welding, and use of shop equipment
• Follow all safety procedures and plant standards
