Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, Step-Down ICU and ICU
MTK Healthcare is hiring for the position of RN – ICU / Med Surg / Cardiac Telemetry / Step-Down with Mercy health Hospital and Trauma Center – Riverside in Rockford, Illinois .
Position Details:

Location: Rockford, IL 61103
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Minimum Experience Required: 2 Years
Pay Range: $58.00 per hour to $68.00 per hour

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced RN with a strong background in ICU and extensive cardiac care experience. Candidates must be comfortable floating to Medical Surgical units as needed while providing high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Requirements:
- Current Illinois RN License required
- CPR certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- ICU experience REQUIRED
- Extensive Cardiac experience REQUIRED
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Education verification required)
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital policies and standards of care
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with clinical standards
- Participate in unit-based performance improvement and shared governance initiatives
- Provide clinical expertise and support to multiple departments and units
- Utilize critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
