Purchasing Clerk

National Star Services is a 27-year-old facility management company providing different services all nationwide and we are now in search of a Purchasing Clerk in Des Plaines, IL 60018.

Job Summary:

The Purchasing Clerk supports the procurement and receiving processes by preparing and processing purchase orders, coordinating deliveries, maintaining accurate records, supporting accounting functions, and assisting internal teams and suppliers to ensure efficient and compliant purchasing operations.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour Bi-weekly.

Key Duties:

• Review and process purchase orders; coordinate with receivers and buyers to ensure accurate deliveries.
• Monitor and evaluate purchase order claims for compliance.
• Enter delivery reports and register received goods in Navision.
• Ensure quality of filed CCP1 reports and correct receiver entries when needed.
• Provide accounting support and communicate with accounts payable regarding open accounts.
• Research, track, and resolve accounting issues.
• Receive and manage product specifications for stored products.
• Assist buyers with purchase decisions, data entry, and order processing.
• Manage, request, process, and store supplier bid sheets.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Skills/Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail, basic accounting knowledge,and good communication and organizational skills.

- Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively in English

- At least 1 or 2 years of experience

- Be able to provide an updated resume

- A background check and drug test are required

- Immediate availability is preferred.​
