  • Handle and assemble very small parts with consistent precision and care.
  • Rotate between different assembly tasks and cross-train in multiple areas to support production needs.
  • Thread wire through peg boards to create flexible heaters in the flex/foam area.
  • Apply terminals onto materials and add a second layer to cover heaters as part of the assembly process.
  • Cure assembled heaters in ovens following established procedures.
  • Test sensors and heaters to verify proper function and quality.
  • Follow performance metrics and meet production expectations after the initial 1–2 month training period.
  • Use hand tools such as drills, pliers, wrenches, and other basic tools safely and effectively.
  • Perform basic quality checks and inspections on assembled components.
  • Read and interpret scales, rulers, and basic shop drawings to complete work accurately.
  • Support both small and large production runs, with order sizes ranging from 1 to 100 in flex/foam and 100 to 100,000 in sensor assembly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all safety and quality procedures.
  • Communicate clearly about previous and current assembly processes to supervisors and team members.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read and use scales and rulers confidently for daily measuring tasks.
  • Experience using hand tools such as drills, split pliers, and open-ended wrenches.
  • Basic math skills to perform measurements and simple calculations.
  • Ability to clearly explain prior assembly processes and experience during interviews and on the job.
  • Strong attention to detail when working with very small parts and repetitive tasks.
  • Comfort working seated for most of the shift while maintaining focus and accuracy.
  • Capability to follow written instructions, work orders, and basic shop drawings.
  • Willingness to cross-train and rotate through different assembly areas.
  • Commitment to meeting performance metrics after a 1–2 month training period.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with brazing and soldering is a plus.
  • Prior exposure to shop drawings and prints, with the ability to read and interpret them, is preferred.
  • Knowledge in assembly, especially in manufacturing or production environments, is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection practices in an assembly setting.
  • Experience working with hand tools, including drills, pliers, wrenches, and similar tools.
  • Comfort using basic measurement tools such as rulers and scales in a production environment.
  • Interest in learning additional manufacturing skills such as CNC, welding, or engineering through tuition-supported training.

Why Work Here?

You will join a stable manufacturing organization that offers a comprehensive benefits package and clear opportunities for long-term growth. Employees receive paid vacation, paid holidays plus floating days, and a 401(k) with company match to support their financial future. The benefits program includes health, dental, and vision insurance, disability coverage, life insurance, and a company-funded HSA contribution. Referral bonuses and reimbursement for safety shoes and safety glasses (upon becoming permanent) further enhance the total rewards. The company actively promotes from within, giving assembly team members the chance to move into other production and technical roles while gaining new skills and advancing their careers.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean, organized manufacturing facility with multiple buildings and departments, including areas that operate close to clean-room standards. One building offers a very clean setting, while another has a more traditional industrial feel, and all production is completed on site. You will spend most of your shift seated while working with very small parts, measurement tools such as rulers and scales, and a variety of hand tools including drills, pliers, and wrenches. The environment emphasizes safety and quality, with reimbursement available for safety shoes and safety glasses once you become a permanent employee. You will work with ovens for curing heaters, peg boards for threading wire, and other standard assembly equipment in a structured, process-driven production setting.
