Position: Registered Nurse - Pediatric
Location: Chicago, IL 60649
Duration: 13 week
Shift: 4x12-Hour - Day, Night shifts available 3x12 also available
Local Pay Rate: $2600 weekly
Travel Pay Rate: $3000 weeekly

Job Description:
We are an acute care unit that cares for patients with chronic illness. Our children have tracheostomies with chronic ventilators. We do not have drips or surgical patients, transitional patients. Vents, trach, and G tube experience required.Inpatient Unit is very unique - 1 unit, 39 beds, all specialties on this unit, 50-60% of patients have some sort of technology dependence - ages 2 weeks to 18 yrs old.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess pediatric patients with complex but stable conditions.
• Administer medications, IV infusions, and oxygen therapy per provider orders.
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Perform procedures such as NG/OG tube management, tracheostomy care, and central line maintenance.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate individualized care plans.
• Educate and support families on treatment plans, home care, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards.
• Participate in unit rounds, emergency response, and ongoing professional development.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 years of RN Pediatric experience
• BLS and PALS Certification
• IL State RN License
• Vents, trach, and G tube experience required.
• 1:4 ratio experience required.
• Meditech experience required.
