Acute Care RN Job Details

• Location: Urbana, IL 61801 (Illinois healthcare jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Unit
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Shift: 12-hour Nights
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (initial contract)
• Start Date: July 14, 2025
• End Date: October 11, 2025
• Open Availability: Required for flexible scheduling per client policy
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $20 - $20 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing)
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience preferred
• Current ICE Clearance required (submit ICE Clearance Screening Form with application)
• Valid driver’s license

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care, including executing provider orders and administering medications
• Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and treatments
• Attend sick calls, prepare exam rooms, and manage medication distribution (pill call)
• Assess, triage, and refer new or ill patients for emergency care as needed
• Perform emergency nursing procedures and promptly notify providers for treatment orders
• Supervise and mentor nursing and non-licensed clinical staff
• Maintain accurate, confidential electronic medical records
• Monitor inpatient hospitalizations and coordinate patient care transitions
• Provide health education and counseling to patients individually and in group settings
• Ensure safety and security of the medical unit, including contraband checks and secure supply storage
• Participate in safety, accident, and incident reporting as required
• Escort or coordinate patient movement for medical treatment as needed
