Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a School-Based Occupational Therapist in a contract role serving a supportive educational environment near Naperville, IL. This part-time position offers the chance to positively impact young learners by collaborating closely with teachers and families to promote students’ independence and success.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
• Knowledge of IEP processes, pediatric assessments, and intervention planning
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Flexibility, organization, and a genuine passion for fostering student growth

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, evidence-based OT services to students, focusing on sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills, self-help, and classroom participation
• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP requirements
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate occupational therapy supports into the classroom setting
• Document services provided, progress toward goals, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
• Provide consultative support and training for school staff to facilitate student success
• Maintain up-to-date records, adhere to confidentiality requirements, and follow all school district and state guidelines
