Server

Servers operate extremely efficiently while working in a team. They show enthusiasm and multitask while providing excellent communication with team members and managers on duty.
Schedule: The position is full time, Monday – Saturday, flexible schedule preferred able to work between 10:30am-11pm.
Reports to: Maître D
Responsibilities
- Greet all arriving guests at assigned stations in a pleasant manner, making them feel welcome.
- Properly set up your dining room and help with all workstation duties; including leaving these areas cleaner than you found them.
- Understand/describe menu items in detail to members/guests. Be proud of what you serve and only provide items that meet quality/presentation standards.
- Distributes menus if applicable sets upside station and performs side work.
- Takes members/guests orders and place orders into the POS; ensure any dietary and allergens are notes in the ticket.
- Communicate with the kitchen team about any special cooking requirements.
- Assembles food on a tray; procures items from each station, as necessary.
- Checks back to ensure member/guest satisfaction; replenishes water, etc.
- Remove soiled dishes from tables and place them carefully in the bus tubs.
- Suggests and serves dessert, coffee and after dinner drinks.
- Uniform meets restaurant requirements and is maintained and cleaned.
- Practices positive personal hygiene and cleanliness habits during all work shifts.
- Follows all safety, health, and sanitation guidelines as required.
- Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.
- Performs all duties and maintains knowledge of all standards and procedures.
- Perform all given tasks with all the necessary details to get the task done well.
- Always maintain proper knowledge of menu changes and valid certifications.
Qualifications
- Two years working as a server in a la carte upscale/fine dining restaurant/club
- Must be at least 21 years old to pour and serve liquor or wine
- Wine and spirit knowledge is a plus
- Must have a valid Food Handler and Basset Certification.
- Outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team and have a professional demeanor with members or guests
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to wear required & provided full uniform with dress shoes.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50lb, including trays of food.
- Must be able to safely move throughout all areas of the restaurant.
- Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.
- Must follow all safety and sanitation procedures.
- Must be able to read, write and understand English.
- Must be able to multi-task and keep track of time.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to work on-site flexible shifts and schedules, including Saturdays.
- Ability to communicate clearly with members, guests, teammates, and managers.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure, in a fast-paced environment.
