Actalent is hiring for a Junior Fixed Assets Analyst in the Lake Bluff, IL area!!

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Fixed Assets Analyst to join our Finance team. This role will support the management, verification, and reporting of fixed assets, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, and disposal processes in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the recording and tracking of fixed asset acquisitions, transfers, and disposals.

• Support monthly and quarterly close activities related to fixed assets, including depreciation runs and reconciliations.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset records in the fixed asset subledger.

• Conduct physical asset verification and tagging across various locations to ensure asset integrity and compliance.

• Collaborate with project owners and finance teams to ensure timely capitalization of assets.

• Help prepare audit documentation and respond to internal and external audit requests.

• Participate in system enhancements related to fixed asset accounting.

• Support compliance with internal controls and corporate accounting policies.

• Assist in generating reports and analysis for management review.

• Perform manual journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance; internship or exposure to fixed assets is a plus.

• Basic understanding of accounting principles such as GAAP or IFRS.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP, Power BI, or other ERP systems is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment includes collaboration with various project owners and finance teams. The role may involve occasional travel for physical asset verification across different locations. The candidate should be comfortable working with ERP systems and advanced spreadsheet tools in a corporate setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Lake Bluff, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
