Position Information
$38.27/hour
This position may be eligible for annual incentive pay and contracted increases as determined by the collective bargaining agreement, and you will have the opportunity for continued salary growth.

Primary Role
The Successful candidate will be responsible for the duties necessary to maintain and ensure reliable operation of the treatment facilities and booster stations, and wastewater stations. Maintenance tasks will be of a high technical nature including work on pumps, chemical feed systems and controls as well as any other duties assigned by management. Maintenance personnel are assigned tasks requiring electrical, mechanical and production facilities knowledge in addition to operations of heavy equipment including a forklift and possibly a backhoe.
Knowledge/Skills
- Strong work ethic, time management and organizational and team membership skills.
- Ability to communicate well and to work with minimal supervision.
- Good mechanical skills.
- Ability to start up, shut down, and make operating adjustments to all equipment for proper continued operation.
- Ability to walk and/or stand for an extended period.
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs.
- Basic computer skills are required.
Experience/Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Mechanical and/or electrical experience or training.
Certification/Licenses
- Class C required after 2 years in position; Class A required after 4 years in position.
- Class C driver’s license and D.O.T. medical card required within 30 days of bid award.
Shift/Hours
This position works a rotating schedule between a day shift / mid shift / night shift.
