Assistant Operations Manager / HVAC Technician

Lenz Distribution is seeking a dependable and motivated Assistant Operations Manager with HVAC technical experience to support daily operations and help oversee our refrigerant packing line. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, HVAC certification or licensing, and the ability to step in and manage operations during the Operations Manager’s absence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operations of the refrigerant packing and production line
• Serve as acting Operations Manager when needed to maintain workflow and team productivity
• Support production scheduling, operational efficiency, and quality control standards
• Supervise, train, and assist production and warehouse staff
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA standards, and EPA refrigerant handling guidelines
• Assist with inventory management, packaging processes, and shipping coordination
• Troubleshoot mechanical, operational, and production issues
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and efficiency
• Perform physical labor as required, including lifting heavy materials

Qualifications

• HVAC Technician experience required
• EPA Certification and/or HVAC license strongly preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or operations environments preferred
• Leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience is a plus
• Ability to lift 100+ lbs safely
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to work in an industrial, hands-on environment
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-oriented

Compensation

• $40,000 – $50,000 annually (based on experience)
• Full-time, consistent weekday schedule
