Your Responsibilities

As a H R Compliance Investigator for Deere & Company World Headquarters located in Moline, Dubuque, Des Moines, or Waterloo you will:

  • Conduct internal investigations on allegations of workplace misconduct and violations of company policies and the Code of Business Conduct while ensuring investigations are impartial, prompt, thorough, and unbiased.
  • Lead investigations from intake through completion by partnering with Compliance, Legal, Security, Human Resources, and Labor Relations or other teams to gather evidence; locating and interviewing individuals often involving sensitive subjects; obtaining and analyzing evidence, preparing detailed written investigative reports, and communicating investigative findings with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Apply root cause analysis techniques to identify underlying issues contributing to misconduct or policy violations and recommend remediation strategies to prevent recurrence.
  • Participate in investigation debriefs with partners in Compliance, Legal, Security, and Human Resources and appropriate leaders on the outcomes of investigations and the resulting corrective actions.
  • Protect confidential and sensitive information at all times and maintain complete and accurate records of all assigned investigations consistent with company policy.
  • Prepare high-quality, analytical written reports that clearly document findings, evidence, and recommendations for corrective action.
  • Lead unit-level training as needed for compliance initiatives, while conducting thorough data and trend analysis to identify potential areas of concern and inform decision-making processes.

What Skills You Need

  • 5 or more years of experience conducting sensitive and confidential internal workplace investigations related to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, conflict of interest, or employee relations matters, handling multiple investigations simultaneously, writing investigative reports, and maintaining confidential data.
  • 5 or more years of experience in Human Resources or Labor Relations operations, including roles such as Human Resources Manager, Employee Relations Manager, Labor Relations Manager, or Human Resources Representative, with a solid understanding of employment laws, HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • 5 or more years of experience in working with individuals at all levels in the organization as well as collaborating with Human Resources colleagues globally.
  • Proven ability to conduct root cause analysis and develop actionable remediation plans.
  • Strong interviewing expertise, including experience with structured and behavioral interview techniques in investigative contexts.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce analytical, well-structured written reports that synthesize complex information into clear, actionable findings.
  • Flexibility to work various schedules, including early morning and late evening hours, as needed.
  • Limited within the U.S. as required for the role.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • 6 or more years of experience conducting sensitive and confidential investigations related to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, conflict of interest, and various Human Resource and Employee Relations matters.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, writing, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to problem-solve, analyze data, summarize findings, and produce high-quality written work.
  • Proven organizational, planning, and time management skills with a strong ability to multitask, effectively managing multiple investigations simultaneously.
  • Experience in leading unit-level training and conducting comprehensive data and trend analysis.

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Human Resources, Industrial or Labor Relations, Law, Business/Management, or a related field
