Signage Design Engineer (Structural & Electrical) - Remote

We are seeking a **Signage Design Engineer** to produce **fabrication-ready shop drawings** for architectural and electrical signage projects. This role requires strong **structural drafting** and **electrical layout design** skills to ensure fabricators, installers, and inspectors have clear and accurate documentation.

You will transform **client-approved mockups** into detailed blueprint packages that comply with **UL/NEC codes** and local permitting requirements. This is a **remote, long-term opportunity** with a fixed US-based schedule.

**Responsibilities:**

* Develop comprehensive shop drawing packages: plan, elevation, section, and detail views
* Convert client mockups into **fabrication-ready drawings**
* Provide structural details: material callouts, welding, wind load, and footing requirements for pylons and freestanding signs
* Create electrical layouts: LED placement, wiring runs, power distribution, conduit specifications, and load calculations
* Prepare exploded diagrams, material schedules, mounting/footing details, and UL notes
* Coordinate with engineers for stamped drawings when required
* Support project managers and fabrication teams with technical clarifications

**Requirements:**

* Experience as a **Sign Designer, Draftsman, or Design Engineer** in the signage industry
* Proficiency in **AutoCAD** (SolidWorks or CorelCAD a plus)
* Knowledge of signage materials (steel, aluminum, ACM, acrylic, vinyl, LEDs)
* Understanding of fabrication and installation for channel letters, pylons, and architectural signage
* Familiarity with **UL/NEC codes** and local permitting requirements
* Ability to prepare blueprint packages and wiring diagrams
* Detail-oriented, reliable, and deadline-driven
* Strong communication skills for remote collaboration

**Compensation & Schedule:**

* **$10 USD/hour**
* Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM CST/CDT
* Remote position
