Risk Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Risk Management Consultant to support our Information Technology Risk Management (ITRM) and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) programs. This individual will focus on reducing risk backlog, improving risk processes, enhancing risk reporting, and driving adoption of risk treatment plans across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Risk Remediation & Backlog Management

• Review and clear backlog items within ITRM and TPRM programs.
• Develop and document risk statements for identified risks.
• Create and recommend risk treatment plans to address outstanding risk issues.
• Partner with business stakeholders and current full-time employees to drive adoption and execution of risk treatment plans.
• Maintain and update OneTrust documentation to ensure risk records remain accurate and aligned with approved treatment strategies.

Risk Program Enhancement

• Collaborate with the Manager of Risk to evaluate and improve existing risk analysis methodologies and processes.
• Assist in implementing process improvement recommendations to strengthen the organization's risk management framework.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across ITRM and TPRM services.

Risk Metrics & Reporting

• Design and recommend meaningful risk metrics and KPIs for ITRM and TPRM programs.
• Collect, analyze, and maintain risk data for reporting purposes.
• Develop reporting mechanisms for Board of Directors, department leadership, and team-level stakeholders.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on risk trends and performance metrics.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in Information Technology Risk Management (ITRM) and/or Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM).
• Strong understanding of risk assessment, risk analysis, and risk treatment methodologies.
• Experience working with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platforms, preferably OneTrust .
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and influence risk remediation efforts.
• Experience developing executive-level risk reporting and metrics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise risk management programs.
• Knowledge of risk frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, or similar.
• Experience presenting risk metrics to executive leadership or board-level audiences.
• Prior experience driving process improvement initiatives within risk management functions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $80.00/hr.
