Elgin Recycling is a family owned recycling business that has been in business for over 30 years. We recycle metals and electronics, as well as some paper and plastic recycling. Open Driver Position:
We are currently looking for a CDL-A Truck Driver for a Full Time position with our Company. All drivers are based out of Gilberts, Illinois. MUST have a valid Class A CDL with No Manual Transmission Restrictions.
Primary Job Duties:
- Industrial / Commercial pickups of materials throughout the Chicago-land area
- Transporting materials between job sites and between our facilities
- Loading and unloading trailers
- Work in all types of vehicles (Box truck, roll off, semi, etc.). Flatbed and roll off experience a plus!
- Pre-trip and Post-Trip vehicle inspections
- Following all safety procedures and polices
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to drive manual transmission
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Excellent Safety Record
- Punctual
- Friendly / Likes to work with people / Team Player
- Hardworking
- Trustworthy / Honest / Dependable
- Bi-lingual is a plus but candidate must be able to speak and write English fluently
