Merger Integration Analyst

How you'll make an impactThe Merger Integration Analyst is responsible for supporting the successful integration of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities within the organization. This role involves analyzing and assessing the impact of mergers and acquisitions on various business functions, developing integration plans to support merger success , and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and realization of synergies. The Merger Integration Analyst will work closely with senior management, project teams, and external stakeholders to drive the integration process and achieve strategic objectives .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct baseline reviews of merger partners to identify areas to address as part of the integration planning process. This includes:
- Conduct ing a thorough analysis of acquired merger partners to map legacy processes and service models to Gallagher stan dards, systems, and operations ,
- Conducting reviews of strategic acquisitions to inform integration roadmaps for new services, solutions or systems that build upon the G allagher Better Works offering, gaining stakeholder alignment and consensus , and
- Making recommendations to project managers and integration leadership on the path forward for integration .
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and inform the development of integration project plans, timelines, and key milestones so that items are sequenced by priority, specific to each integration. This includes:
- Identify ing downstream impacts, risks, and issues associated with the integration process and support ing develop ment of mitigation strategies.
- Collaborating with HR, IT, Finance, business line leadership, and other functional teams to align p rocesses, systems, and policies, and
- Monitor ing and track ing integration progress, impact, and issues and providing regul ar updates to project team and senior management.
- Support change management best practices, which include the following:
- Coordinating and facilitate integration meetings, worksh ops, and communicatio n sessions with merger partners to support integration success.
- Support ing the development and implementation of change management strateg ies to ensure smooth transition, employee engagement, and merger success.
- Conduct ing post-merger evaluations to assess the effectiveness of integration strategies and identify areas for improvement.
- Employing agile approaches to escalate stak eholder experiences and suggesting improvements or changes to existing project plans when circumstances permit.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to the insurance industry, employee benefits, and mergers and acquisitions best practices is required .
- Support or lead other strategic initiatives and projects as required .
Required:
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience required.
- Overnight and/or day travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree required , Master’s degree a plus.
- A minimum of five years in business analysis, implementation planning, project management, or related discipline. Proven experience in mergers and acquisi tions and inte gration planning and execution strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with employee benefits, financial and retirement services, and human resources consulting required .
- Formal training and/or experience in business analysis, process improvement, and critical path development strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of formal change management principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Project or other Project Management software.
- Travel is estimated at 25%, the ability to travel to merger partner sites on larger or more complex deals is required .

- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
