Travel Nursing Job Details – Chicago, IL

• Location: Chicago, IL 60625 (Illinois healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel RN
• Department: Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab)
• Start Date: August 18, 2025
• End Date: November 10, 2025
• Contract Duration: 12 weeks
• Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (07:00 – 17:30)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call Requirement: 2-3 days during the week and every other weekend; holiday call required
• Charting System: Epic (preferred)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2620 - $2690 per week

Cath Lab RN Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab RN experience in a hospital or clinical setting
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred
• Proficient in 12 Lead EKG, ACT, antiarrhythmics, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, procedural sedation, and other Cath Lab nursing skills
• Must pass EKG test on first attempt (score of 84% or higher)
• Willingness to participate in scheduled call rotation
• Ability to provide care for adult and geriatric patient populations

Cath Lab RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures
• Monitor and assess patient status before, during, and after Cath Lab procedures
• Administer medications and procedural sedation as required
• Collaborate with physicians, interventional cardiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EHR
• Participate in on-call rotation, including some weekends and holidays, as part of the Cath Lab team
• Ensure patient safety and strict adherence to hospital protocols and best practices
• Support a positive patient and family experience throughout the cardiac care process
